Home Recruiting Class of 2016 Plano wide receiver drawing a lot of interest

Plano wide receiver drawing a lot of interest

It is a great time to be Plano East wide receiver Tim Willson. The three-star recruit has been drawing a lot of attention from colleges across the country.

The 6-4, 185-pound wideout currently holds offers from Iowa, Liberty, Louisiana Monroe, San Diego State and Stephen F. Austin. In addition to those colleges, UCF, Utah State, Kansas and Boise State are also showing interest.

The speedy receiver caught 12 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns in his junior year for Plano East. What won’t show up on the stat sheet are the numerous blocks he had that led to big gains or even touchdowns for his team. He is also a threat to score the ball when catching short passes and he puts his 4.34 40-yard dash time to good use.

His willingness to put team first make him a quality player to have around and his team first mentality shows his teammates the correct way to play the sport.

Along with fellow teammate Adewale Omotosho(#38), Wilson(#81) made the SportsDay 100 list for the class of 2016.

When asked how he planned to utilize his two players making the list, head coach Joey McCullough said he planned to have a more balanced offense. This could mean an increase in production for Wilson and it wouldn’t surprise me if his offers and interest continues to grow.
