One week after going down to the wire in an overtime loss to Fort Bend Marshall, the Manvel Mavericks got back on the right side of .500 in their district schedule with a win over Houston Northside 69-0.
The Mavericks may have been on the road, but they seemed to find comfort in Cowart Stadium as they rolled out to an early 35-0 first quarter lead, and added another 21 in the second quarter.
Senior Josh Coltrin was an accurate 11-of-15 for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Manvel had several standouts in the rushing game, including Garrison Johnson (75 yards, 1 TD) and Ledarius Owens (66 yards, 3TDs).
Eric Hebert was Coltrin’s go-to receiver with 72 yards good for two touchdowns.
Manvel will be back home this Friday night against Madison (2-2).
