With the lights and carnival rides for the annual Rice Festival visible to the north of the stadium, East Chambers took advantage of several Hardin Hornet turnovers in route to a 57-7 win.

East Chambers started the game with the ball before Darious White jumped a sideline pass from Kameron Smith and returned it 66 yards for a Hardin touchdown to give the Hornets an early 7-0 lead.

On the ensuing kickoff, Hardin was charged for a penalty on a pooch kick, and East Chambers started in Hardin territory at the 45-yard line. 6 plays later Nolton Shelton ran in from 2-yards out to tie the game at 7 with 6:39 remaining in the second quarter.

On the next drive Hardin drove the ball from their on 20 to the East Chambers 36 before miscommunication of a run play lead to East Chambers recovering a pitched ball that came close to no running back and returning it to the Hardin 37-yard line.

Three plays later Miguel Rodriguez would carry the ball in from 7-yards out to give the Buccaneers the lead 14-7 with 1:31 remaining in the 1st quarter.

On the next drive, East Chambers would once again take advantage of a Hardin miscue when Christian Simien scooped up a fumble a raced 39 yards for the score. East Chambers led 21-7 with 9:17 remaining in the 2nd quarter.

On the next drive, Hardin was forced to attempt to punt, but a bad snap led to East Chambers taking over at the Hardin 31 yard line. On the first play Kameron Smith hit Kordell David for a 31-yard touchdown. East Chambers lead 28-7 with 3:13 remaining in the 2nd quarter.

Just after the half, Hardin once again had issues executing a punt snap, this time resulting in a safety at the 10:24 mark of the 3rd quarter.

On the first play following the free kick Nolton Shelvin raced 40 yards for another East Chambers touchdown.

Hardin would fumble to ensuing kickoff and it would be recovered by East Chambers. On the first play Nolton Shlevin went 2 yards for a TD and East Chambers led 51-7 with 6:48 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

On East Chambers next drive Ernest Ceasat would record a 30-yard TD run and East Chambers would lead 57-7 with 1:45 remaining in the 3rd quarter. From that point on their would be a running clock and East Chambers would win by that final score.

Simply put I am a fan of Texas high school football. I attend as many high school football games as I can - 82 games in 2017, 86 games in 2018, 76 games in 2019. I also have some limited computer skills and I use those to provide information to the #txhsfb community. I am always looking for new ways to provide information to the #txhsfb community.
