Tony’s district-by-district look at the districts containing at least one greater Houston area team going in to week 8.

Week 7 was a dumpster fire of week in my picking games with upsets seeming to happen left and right. Yet I still went 80-21 overall in picking the correct winner of games. That is 79.2% correct and I expect to pick somewhere around 80% correct so maybe it just seemed worse given the impact of some of the upsets.

Now let’s get down to looking at the Week 7 results and what to look for in Week 8.

14-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Cy Ranch, Cy Woods, Tomball, Langham Creek competing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

As expected Cy Ranch, Cy Woods, and Tomball Memorial all won by sizeable margins. In one of the strangest games of the year, Cy Lakes beat Bryan 3-0 but that game doesn’t play into the playoff picture.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Cy Ranch, Cy Woods, Tomball, Langham Creek competing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Cy Ranch is on a bye week this week. Cy Woods, Langham Creek, and Bryan should all win by 21+. And Tomball Memorial should best Cy Lakes by 10-14 points.

15-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Klein Collins, 2-The Woodlands, 3-Klein Oak, 4-Klein.

As expected Klein Collins, The Woodlands, and Klein Oak all won by 14+. In a game without playoff implications, College Park pulled off the minor upset over Oak Ridge.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Klein Collins, 2-The Woodlands, 3-Klein Oak, 4-Klein.

College Park is on a bye week this week. The Woodlands should win big over Conroe. Klein Oak and Klein Collins should win by 14+. In a game featuring teams winless in district play, Klein Forest should beat Klein Cain by 10+.

16-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Westfield, 2-DeKaney, 3- Eisenhower, with Nimitz, Spring, and Davis competing for 4th.

Westfield won easily over Eisenhower. MacArthur struggled but won over Aldine. In a game I didn’t have as close, Nimitz stunned DeKaney, winning by 9. And, in a game I had Davis as a small favorite, Spring won by 13.

So, what does that do for the order of finish in 16-6A?

Obviously, Westfield stays 1st. And at 0-3, Aldine is pretty much out of the playoff picture. And with MacArthur struggling to beat Aldine, I don’t think they’re in contention for a playoff spot. After that, I’m not sure I can say who is going to be the playoff teams. This is now a jumble of five teams competing for 3 playoff spots.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Westfield, with Davis, Eisenhower, Nimitz, DeKaney, and Spring competing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

This week Westfield and Spring should win by big margins over MacArthur and Aldine. In key games, Eisenhower takes on Nimitz and Davis takes on DeKaney.

Calpreps favors Eisenhower 42-21 over Nimitz. Massey Ratings favors Eisenhower 42-28.

I’ll stick with the computers. Give my Ike by 17.

Calpreps favors Davis 21-17 over DeKaney. Massey Ratings favors DeKaney 21-20 over Davis.

With the computers split on this one and both this as seeing as a close game, I’ll ask Scooby Do what to do. My Scooby Doo coin likes DeKaney in this one. Give my DeKaney by 3.

17-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-CyFalls, 2-Cy Fair, with Jersey Village and Cy Ridge competing for 3rd and 4th.

Well so much for Cy Fair getting back on track as they lost to Jersey Village 23-24. Memorial beat Stratford in a game without playoff implications. Cy Creek beat Cy Ridge in a game that tries to muddle the bottom of the playoff picture. And Spring Woods won (or is that lost?) the battle for the bottom over Northbrook 21-8.

So where do we stand? Last Week’s results actually clear up the order of this district a lot. The district title should come down to the game this week between Cy Falls and Jersey Village. Cy Fair should now by viewed as the 3rd place team. Cy Creek now owns the tiebreak and should be favored over Cy Ridge for 4th.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Cy Falls, 2- Jersey Village, 3-Cy Ranch, 4-Cy Creek.

This week Cy Creek is on a bye week. I look for Cy Fair, Cy Ridge, and Memorial to win by large margins. The key game this week should decide the district title as Jersey Village takes on Cy Falls.

Calpreps favors Cy Falls over Jersey Village 31-21. Massey Ratings favors Cy Falls 32-21.

I’ll stick with the computers. Give me Cy Falls by 10.

18-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Lamar, 2-Chavez, 3-Hieghts, and Bellaire and Westside competing for 4th.

Last Week Lamar beat Heights by 12, and Westbury beat Sam Houston, 9-2, in a game without playoff implications. And in game with big implications, Bellaire beat Chavez 21-14.

Those results really change the predicted order of finish jumping Bellaire out of the battle for 4th all the way to 2nd.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Lamar, 2-Bellaire, 3-Chavez, with Heights and Westside competing for 4th.

This week Sam Houston is on a bye. Lamar and Chavez should win by large margins over Bellaire and Chavez. The key game is a game that now may settle 4th place in the district when Westside and Heights meet Saturday night.

Calpreps favors Heights over Westside 19-17. Massey Ratings favors Heights 28-21.

Obviously, the computers expect a close game and I do too. Give me Heights by 3.

I’ll be at the Heights/ Westside. Follow me on Twitter for drive-by-drive updates (@txhsfb).

19-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Katy, with Tompkins and Cinco Ranch competing with 2nd and 3rd, and Seven Lakes and Taylor competing for 4th.

Last week Katy and Tompkins won easily and Taylor beat Cinco Ranch 33-17.

Based on the results this past week, and so far this year, I think we have to adjust the order to reflect a changing of the guard in the top of the district under Katy.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Katy, 2-Tompkins, 3-Seven Lakes, 4-Taylor, 5-Cinco Ranch.

I expect this order to be somewhat fluid over the remainder of the season, but I don’t expect Cinco Ranch to move into a play off spot before at least week 10 at the earliest.

Cinco Ranch is on a bye this week. Look for Katy and Taylor to win by significant margins over Seven Lakes and Mayde Creek respectively. Tompkins should win by 14+ over Morton Ranch.

I’ll be at the Katy/ Seven Lakes game for at least the first three quarters. Follow me on Twitter for drive-by-drive updates (@txhsfb).

20-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Ridge Point, 2-Bush, 3-Travis, 4-Dulles, 5-Elkins.

As expected Travis, Dulles, and Elkins all won by significant margins. And Ridge Point won by 3 over Bush.

No reason to change anything in my order.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Ridge Point, 2-Bush, 3-Travis, 4-Dulles, 5-Elkins.

This week Bush and Dulles should win by 14+ over Elkins and Kempner. Clements/ Austin is basically a pick ‘em game between teams winless in district and outside of playoff contention.

The only game of any interest is Ridge Point and Travis where I expect Ridge Point to win by 10+.

21-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-North Shore, 2-West Brook, 3-CE King, 4-Deer Park, 5-Beaumont United.

As expected North Shore and West Brook won easily. La Porte beat Sterling in a game between teams outside of playoff contention. And CE King beat Beaumont United by 5 (I had them picked by 7).

No reason to change anything based on last week’s results.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-North Shore, 2-West Brook, 3-CE King, 4-Deer Park, 5-Beaumont United.

This week North Shore and West Brook should beat Sterling and La Porte by large margins.

In two games that should be relatively close and possibly have playoff implications, Beaumont United takes on Channelview and CE King takes on Deer Park.

Calpreps favors Beaumont United over Channelview 28-21. Massey Ratings still doesn’t have Beaumont United in their system.

I’ll go with Calpreps. Give me Beaumont United by 7.

Calpreps favors CE King over Deer Park 42-28. Massey Ratings favors CE King over Deer Park 42-30.

I’ll take CE King by 10.

22-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Atascocita, 2-Kingwood, 3-Summer Creek, 4-South Houston.

Atascocita, South Houston, Summer Creek and Kingwood all won by 19+.

No reason to change the order.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Atascocita, 2-Kingwood, 3-Summer Creek, 4-South Houston.

This week South Houston is on a bye. Atascocita, Pasadena Memorial, and Humble should beat Dobie, Rayburn, and Pasadena by significant margins.

The closest, most significant game should be between Summer Creek and Kingwood.

Calpreps favors Kingwood over Summer Creek 20-17. Massey Ratings favors Kingwood over Summer Creek 24-20.

Both computers expect this to be a close game and I concur. I’ll also go with Kingwood in a close one. Give me Kingwood by 3.

23-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order:  Strake Jesuit and Pearland competing for 1st and 2nd,3-Hastings, 4-George Ranch.

Pearland and Dawson won by 35+. George Ranch won by only 4 over Alief Taylor. And Strake Jesuit won by 12 over Hastings.

The relative margins of victory by Dawson and George Ranch do raise an eyebrow and I’ll change this up a bit to Dawson competing with George Ranch for the 4th playoff spot.

My Predicted Order Remains: Strake Jesuit and Pearland competing for 1st and 2nd,3-Hastings, with George Ranch and Dawson competing for 4th.

This week, Hastings should beat Taylor by a large margin. In a game between teams winless in district without playoff implications, I’ll take Elsik to narrowly beat Brazoswood.

The other two games should be close and do have playoff implications: Pearland/ Strake Jesuit and George Ranch/ Dawson.

Calpreps favors Dawson over George Ranch 35-27. Massey Ratings favors Dawson over George Ranch 37-28.

And I’ll go with the computer and take Dawson but expect it to be closer. I’ll take Dawson by 7.

In what should be the district championship game, Calpreps favors Strake Jesuit over Pearland 35-27, and Massey Ratings favors Strake Jesuit over Pearland 34-27.

One factor in this game may well be the home field advantage for Strake Jesuit. Pearland fans had better have their tickets already with only around 2,000 seats on the visitor’s side of the stadium. They should also better show up early as parking is very limited at Strake Jesuit, Don’t park at any of the nearby businesses as they will have you towed.

I’ll take Strake Jesuit by 7.

24-6A

Last Week’s Predicted Order:  1-Dickson, 2-Clear Springs, 3-Clear Lake, with Clear Brook and Clear Creek competing for 4th.

Last week Dickinson, Clear Springs, and Clear Creek all won handily.

The order remains the same.

My Predicted Order Remains:   1-Dickson, 2-Clear Springs, 3-Clear Lake, with Clear Brook and Clear Creek competing for 4th.

Clear Brook is on a bye week this week. In a game without playoff implications, Clear Falls should easily beat Alvin. In games with playoff implications Dickinson faces Clear Springs and Clear Lake faces Clear Creek.

Calpreps favors Dickinson over Clear Springs 35-19. Massey Ratings favors Dickinson over Clear Springs 34-21.

I’ll go with the computers on this one. Give me Dickinson by 17.

Calpreps favors Clear Creek over Clear Lake 35-31. Massey Ratings favors Clear Lake over Clear Creek 39-35.

The computers both see this as a close game but disagree on the winner. I’m going to go with Clear Lake in this one. Give me Clear Lake by 7.

8-5AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order:  College Station and Lufkin competing for 1st and 2nd, 3-Magnolia West, and Magnolia and Tomball competing for 4th.

Last week Magnolia, Magnolia West, and Tomball all won by big margins as expected. And in the battle that should have been for the district title, Lufkin shocked the world, not because they won the game, but by the margin of victory, 35-3.

The Lufkin wins clarifies the top of the district.

My Predicted Order Now: 1- Lufkin, 2- College Station, 3-Magnolia West, with Magnolia and Tomball competing for 4th.

This week I expect Lukfin and Magnolia West to win by 30+ over Tomball and Magnolia West. In a game without playoff implications, I expect Willis to win a close one over Caney Creek.

The closest game with playoff implications should be College Station at Magnolia.

Calpreps favors College Station over Magnolia 35-34. Massey Ratings favors College Station 41-36.

I expect College Station to be fired up after their loss to Lufkin. Give me College Station by 10.

9-5AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: Port Arthur Memorial and New Caney competing for 1st and 2nd, 3-Porter, 4-Kingwood.

As expected Kingwood Park, Porter, and Austin all rolled to easy wins. In the game that should have decided the district title New Caney beat Port Arthur Memorial 38-21.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-New Caney, 2-Port Arthur Memorial, 3-Porter, 4-Kingwood.

This week I expect to New Caney and Goose Creek Memorial to win by 21+. I expect Port Arthur Memorial to rebound and beat Porter by 10+. In a game without playoff implications, I expect Austin to beat Galena Park by 7.

10-5AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: Shadow Creek and Friendswood competing for 1st and 2nd, 3-Angleton, 4-Richmond Foster.

As expected Shadow Creek rolled to an easy victory over Galveston Ball. In a game closer than expected Angleton won by 5 over Rosenberg Terry. In a game I don’t expect to have playoff implications, Hightower beat Texas City 24-3. And in my key game Foster pulled the mild upset over Friendswood 28-20.

And with that upset I’ll need to adjust my order.

My Predicted Order Now: 1- Shadow Creek, with Foster, Angleton, and Friendswood competing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

I expect to see a lot of close games in the district this week. In a game I don’t see as having playoff implications I expect Texas City to win a close one over Terry. In another game I don’t expect to have playoff implications, I expect Hightower to win a close game over Ball.

The other two games certainly have playoff implications: Foster/ Angleton and Shadow Creek/ Friendswood.

Calpreps favors Angleton over Foster 34-33. Massey Ratings favors Foster over Angleton 35-32.

The computers see this as a toss-up. Time to break out the Scooby coin again. Rut-Roo Shaggy. Scooby goes with Foster. I’ll take Foster by 1.

Calpreps favors Shadow Creek over Friendswood 35-13. Massey Ratings favors Shadow Creek over Friendswood 35-14.

I’ll go with the computers and take Shadow Creek by 20.

10-5AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Huntsville, 2-A&M Consolidated, 3-Lamar Consolidated, 4-Montgomery.

This district went to chalk last week. Huntsville, Lake Creek, and Rudder all won by large margins. A&M Consolidated edged Lamar Consolidated 34-28.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Huntsville, 2-A&M Consolidated, 3-Lamar Consolidated, 4-Montgomery.

This week I expect Huntsville, A&M Consolidated, and Montgomery to all win by 25+. In a game with no direct playoff implications, I expect Rudder to win a close game over Lake Creek.

I’ll be at the Huntsville/ Lamar Consolidated game on Thursday night. Follow me on Twitter (@txhsfb) for drive-by-drive updates.

11-5AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Fort Bend Marshall, 2-Manvel, with Willowridge and Houston Madison competing for 3rd and 4th.

As expected Marshall and Manvel won by large margins. Willowridge beat Northside by 21. In an upset Houston Sterling bear Houston Madison by 34.

The Sterling upset of Madison shakes things up at the bottom of the district.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Fort Bend Marshall, 2-Manvel, 3- Willowridge, 4- Houston Sterling.

Manvel is on a bye week this week. I expect Fort Bend Marshall, Sterling, and Willowridge to win by significant margins. In a game with no playoff implications, I see Northside/ Waltrip as too close to call.

12-5AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Crosby, Nederland and Port Neches-Groves competing for 2nd and 3rd, and Barbers Hill and Vidor competing for 4th.

As predicted Nederland won big over Dayton and Barbers Hill won a close game over Baytown Lee. In the upsets of the week Santa Fe beat Vidor and Port Neches-Groves beat Crosby by 3, thought granted it was a mild upset.

Those results cause a big scramble in my predicted order of finish. With three district losses, Vidor would pretty much have to win out to be in playoff contention. Having already lost to Port Neches Groves and Crosby, that isn’t outside of the realm of possibility, but for now, I’ll have to drop Vidor out of the playoff chase and put Santa Fe in.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Port Neches-Groves, 2- Crosby, 3-Nederland, with Santa Fe and Barbers Hill competing for 4th.

This week look for Nederland, Port Neches-Groves, and Crosby to all win by 14+.

The one close game should be Vidor/ Barbers Hill.

Calpreps favors Vidor 31-28. Massey Ratings favors Vidor 28-27.

This is a must win game for Vidor and I think they’ll pull it out. Give me Vidor by 3.

11-4AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: Splendora and Lumberton competing for 1st and 2nd, 3- Huffman Hargrave, with Little Cypress- Mauriceville and Bridge City competing for 4th.

Last week as expected Splendora won big over Livingston. In the key games Lumberton went to overtime to beat Huffman Hargrave and Little Cypress Mauriceville beat Bridge City 33-14.

With those results I think we can clarify the expected order of finish.

My Predicted Order Now: Splendora and Lumberton competing for 1st and 2nd, 3- Huffman Hargrave, 4-Little Cypress-Mauriceville.

This week I expect Lumberton to win over Livingston by a large margin and Huffman Hargrave to beat Bridge City by 14. The one game with playoff implications should be Splendora/ Little Cypress-Mauriceville.

Calpreps favors Splendora 35-28 over Little Cypress-Mauriceville. Massey Ratings favors Little Cypress-Mauriceville 35-34 over Splendora.

I’ll take Splendora in this one. Give me Splendora by 7.

12-4AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Wheatley, 2-Stafford, 3-Navasota, and North Forest, Worthing, and Yates competing for 4th.

Last Week Navasota beat Worthing by a closer margin than expected winning 29-20. Wheatley beat Stafford by 7. In an upset Furr beat North Forest by 7.

And with that upset I’m dropping North Forest out of contention for a playoff spot for now and moving Furr into contention.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Wheatley, 2-Stafford, 3- Navasota, with Worthing, Yates, and Furr competing for 4th.

This week North Forest is on a bye week. I expect Wheatley to win by a large margin over Yates. In games I expect to be close and have playoff implications Navasota takes on Stafford and Furr takes on Worthing.

Calpreps favors Stafford over Navasota 26-19. Massey Ratings favors Stafford over Navasota 24-20.

I’ll take Stafford by 7.

Calpreps favors Furr over Worthing 27-22. Massey Ratings favors Furr over Worthing 28-27.

I’ll take Furr by 3.

13-4AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Sealy, Needville and Brazosport competing for 2nd and 3rd, and Bay City and El Campo competing for 4th.

Bay City beat Fulshear but it took 2 overtimes to win 49-42. Brazosport pulled the mild upset over El Campo 34-28. And Columbia pulled off the upset win over Needville 31-28.

With those results I’ll adjust the predicted order. Sealy stands out as the clear favor for 1st. After that it gets really murky. I see the next five teams very close competing for the final three spots with every game between those teams meaningful.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Sealy, with Needville, Bay City, Brazosport, Bay City, and El Campo competing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

This week Needville is on a bye week. I expect Sealy to win handily over El Campo and Columbia to win by 10+ over Fulshear. The key game with implications on that jumble of five teams is Bay City/ Brazosport.

Calpreps favors Brazosport over Bay City 31-28. Massey Ratings favors Bay City over Brazosport 35-34.

Time for my Scooby coin again. Scooby says the Exporters win this one. Give me Brazosport by 3.

9-4AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Jasper, 2-Center, 3-Shepherd, 4-Tarkington.

Last Week Jasper and Center rolled up big wins over Tarkington and Shepherd.

No need to change the order.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Jasper, 2-Center, 3-Shepherd, 4-Tarkington.

Center is on a bye week this week. Look for Jasper and Shepherd to post big wins.

10-4AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: West Orange-Stark and Silsbee competing for 1st and 2nd, and Liberty and Hamshire-Fannett competing for 3rd and 4th.

Last Week, Hamshire-Fannett beat Hardin-Jefferson 34-13 and West Orange-Stark narrowly beat Silsbee 24-21.

The West Orange-Stark’s win moves them to the clear favorite for 1st place.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-West Orange-Stark, 2-Silsbee, with Liberty and Hamshire-Fannett competing for 3rd and 4th.

This week West Orange-Stark is on a bye week. Look for Silsbee to beat Hardin-Jefferson by a large margin. The game between Hamshire-Fannett and Liberty should settle the battle for 3rd and 4th.

Calpreps favors Hamshire-Fannett over Liberty 22-19. Massey Ratings favors Liberty over Hamshire-Fannett 28-22.

I see this a pick ‘em game. What does Scooby say? Scooby says Hamshire-Fannett. Give my Hamshire-Fannett by 1.

11-4AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Sweeny, Wharton and La Marque competing for 2nd and 3rd, 4- Kashmere.

Last week Sweeny, Wharton, and Kashmere all won by big margins.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Sweeny, Wharton and La Marque competing for 2nd and 3rd, 4- Kashmere.

This week I expect Sweeny and La Marque to post victories by large margins. And I expect Kashmere to win by 10+ over Washington.

12-4AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: Giddings and Bellville competing for 1st and 2nd, 3-La Grange, 4-Caldwell.

Last Week Giddings, La Grange, and Bellville all posted victories by 14+.

My Predicted Order Remains: Giddings and Bellville competing for 1st and 2nd, 3-La Grange, 4-Caldwell.

This week I expect Smithville to beat Brookshire Royal in a game without playoff implications.

Giddings/Bellville should decide the district title. La Grange/ Caldwell should decide 3rd and 4th.

Calpreps favors Giddings over Bellville 19-14. Massey Ratings favors Giddings over Bellville 14-7.

Give me Giddings by 7.

Calpreps favors La Grange over Caldwell 24-14. Massey Ratings favors La Grange over Caldwell 18-14.

Give me La Grange by 7.

11-3AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Franklin, 2-Diboll, 3-Crockett, 4-Coldpsring.

Last week Franklin, Elkhart won by large margins. Diboll won by only by two over Coldspring. But since Diboll has already won over Crockett and Coldspring, no need to change the order.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Franklin, 2-Diboll, 3-Crockett, 4-Coldpsring.

Franklin is on a bye week this week. I expect Diboll and Crockett to post at least double-digit wins. I expect Westwood/ Trinity to be a pick’ em game with no playoff implications.

12-3AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Woodville, 2-East Chambers, 3-Buna, 4-Orangefield.

Last Week all the game went as expected with Woodville, East Chambers, Anahuac and Hardin posting wins.

No need to change the order.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Woodville, 2-East Chambers, 3-Buna, 4-Orangefield.

I expect another week of sizeable victories for Woodville, East Chambers, and Buna. The closest game may be Orangefield/ Hardin, but I expect Orangefield to win by at least double-digits.

13-3AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: Hitchcock and Rice competing for 1st and 2nd, and Columbus and Boling as competing for 3rd and 4th.

Last week Rice and Boling won as expected but Hitchcock was upset by Columbus 32-20.

That drops Hitchcock out of contending for the district title and gives Columbus a boost. The ordering here might be fluid for a while.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Rice, 2-Columbus, with Hitchcock and Boling competing for 3rd and 4th.

This week I expect Columbus and Hitchcock to record wins by sizeable margins.

The key game this week is Rice/ Boling.

Calpreps favors Rice 28-22. Massey Ratings favors Boling 28-27.

I’m going to go with Rice in this one. Give me Rice by 3.

12-3AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Newton, 2-Corrigan-Camden, with Hemphill and Anderson-Shiro competing for 3rd and 4th.

Last week Newton and Camden Corrigan won by large margins. Anderson-Shiro pulled the mild upset of Hemphill and set the 3rd and 4th spot.

My Predicted Order Now: 1-Newton, 2-Corrigan-Camden, 3-Anderson-Shiro, 4- Hemphill.

This week look for Newton and Corrigan-Camden to win by large margins and Anderson-Shiro to win by double-digits.

14-3AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-East Bernard, 2-Van Vleck, and Schulenberg and Tidehaven competing for 3rd and 4th.

Last week East Bernard and Van Vleck won by large margins. In a game I didn’t see as having playoff implications, Ganado upset Danbury.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-East Bernard, 2-Van Vleck, and Schulenberg and Tidehaven competing for 3rd and 4th.

This week look for East Bernard and Van Vleck to win by 21+ and Danbury to win by double-digits.

12-2AD1

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-San Augustine, Shelbyville and Groveton competing for 2nd and 3rd, and Hull-Daisetta, West Sabine, and Kirbyville battling for 4th.

Last week San Augustine won by 37. Shelbyville won but by only 8 over Deweyville. In the key game last week West Sabine pulled the upset over Groveton.

That will certainly drop Groveton out of competing for second and, for now, drops them into a battle for 3rd and 4th.

My Predicted Order Now: 1- San Augustine, 2- Shelbyville, with Groveton, Hull-Daisetta, West Sabine, and Kirbyville battling for 3rd and 4th.

This Week look for San Augustine to win by a large margin and Shelbyville to win by double-digits over West Sabine. The closest game should be Hull-Daisetta/ Deweyville.

Calpreps favors Deweyville over Hull-Daisetta 28-27. Massey Ratings favors Deweyville 30-24.

Give me Deweyville in this one. I’ll take Deweyville by 3.

12-2AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Lovelady, 2-Grapeland, 3-Evadale, and Colmesneil and West Hardin competing for 4th.

Last Week Grapeland and West Hardin won large margins. I missed the fact Evadale was playing a non-district game (replacing Sabine Pass who canceled their season).

I don’t see anything to change my order.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Lovelady, 2-Grapeland, 3-Evadale, and Colmesneil and West Hardin competing for 4th.

This week Burkville and Evadale have bye weeks. The two games being played certainly have playoff implications: Grapeland/ Lovelady and West Hardin/ Colmesneil.

Calpreps favors Lovelady 28-17 over Grapeland. Massey Ratings favors Lovelady 32-14.

Give me Lovelady by 14.

Calpreps favors West Hardin 28-19 over Colmesneil. Massey Ratings favors West Hardin 33-20.

Give me West Hardin by 10.

14-2AD2

Last Week’s Predicted Order: 1-Burton, 2-Snook, 3-Flatonia, 4-Louise.

Last week Burton and Snook both won by large margins.

My Predicted Order Remains: 1-Burton, 2-Snook, 3-Flatonia, 4-Louise.

Snook is on a bye this week. Burton and Flatonia should win by large margins.

Simply put I am a fan of Texas high school football. I attend as many high school football games as I can - 82 games in 2017, 86 games in 2018, 76 games in 2019. I also have some limited computer skills and I use those to provide information to the #txhsfb community. I am always looking for new ways to provide information to the #txhsfb community. If you have ideas and suggestions, tag or DM me on Twitter.
