Zion Taylor rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns as O’Connor remained unbeaten in District 28-6A with a 33-18 victory over Marshall.
Chase Locke, a 6’4 receiver with FBS interest, reeled in a touchdown pass from David Dodd in the victory for O’Connor (7-0 overall and 6-0 in 28-6A).
Virginia move-in Benard Dankyi continued his solid season with 46 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Marshall fell 2-5 and 1-5 with the loss, all but eliminating them from playoff contention.
Warren 10, Taft 7
Kingowen Cabrera booted a 30-yard field goal with 5:35 remaining, which proved to be the difference as Warren survived a spirited effort from Taft, 10-7.
Warren quarterback Anthony Cisneros rushed for a touchdown to go along with 57 yards on the ground, and Te’lem Turner added a game-high 75 yards for the Warriors (6-1, 5-1).
Divonne Tilden rushed for a touchdown for the Raiders (3-4, 2-4).
