Tony caught up with Grayson Doggett and Landyn Watson of the Hutto Hippos during their practice on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Tony: Your expectations for the team for the season?
Grayson: Same as it has always been, trying to improve. We made it to the 3rd round the past two years, trying to improve on that, just try to keep building on that.
Landyn: Our expectation is to bring some of these young guys up , let them learn the new stuff, and have a great a season.

Tony: What are your personal goals for the year?
Grayson: Just to win. That’s the only thing I really care about is winning. The yards and stuff is all good but if we win, I’ll be happy.
Landyn: I want to lead the district and state in sacks and tackles for loss.

Tony: Teammate you think will have the biggest impact on the team.
Grayson: Probably Mekhi Kimble because he is one of our energetic leaders. Not many people know of him to tell the truth, but he’ll have a really good year for us and he’ll surprise a lot of people.
Landyn: I think one of the young defensive ends will help us out a lot. I think one of them is going to have a really big year this year and help us out a lot.

Simply put I am a fan of Texas high school football. I attend as many high school football games as I can - 82 games in 2017, 86 games in 2018, 76 games in 2019. I also have some limited computer skills and I use those to provide information to the #txhsfb community. I am always looking for new ways to provide information to the #txhsfb community.
