Brandon Boyd was the star of the show for the Allen Academy Rams on Thursday night, throwing four total touchdown passes to three different receivers as Allen Academy topped Logos Prep 50-0.
While Boyd was the star, it was a diverse attack with 4 passing touchdowns, 3 rushing touchdowns and 4 different Rams finding the end zone.
After the Logos Prep Lions fumbled on their opening drive (one of there Lions’ turnovers on the night), Allen Academy marched 47 yards in 4 plays capped by a 19-yard pass from Boyd to Luke Meadows.
The Rams extended their lead in the 1st quarter as Boyd connected with Aaron Boegner on 26-yard and 19-yard touchdown passes as the Rams lead 24-0 at the end of the first.
After Boyd connected with Brent Tucker early in the 2nd quarter on a 44-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 32-0, the scoring attack shifted to run game. Elias Chapa scored on 11-yard and 47-yard runs and Brent Tucker added a 18-yard touchdown run.
The Allen Academy moves to 1-0 on the season. The Rams host McDade next Friday night. The Bulldogs open their season tomorrow against Rock Round Christian Academy.
The Logos Prep falls to 0-1 on the season. The Lions host Tomball Christian Homeschool next Friday night. The Warriors open their season tonight at Hempstead.
