With cancellations due to Imelda, my original Thursday (Bridge City @ Silsbee) and Saturday (High Island @ McDade) were cancelled. So now on Saturday I’ll be heading to the Cy-Fair FCU Stadium for a double header.

Friday, 9/20, 7:00pm at Leander ISD’s Gupton Stadium
Cinco Ranch Cougars (0-3) vs. Cedar Park Timberwolves (2-1)

By my records, this is only the second meeting between the two teams. Cedar Park won last year’s game 14-13.


Cinco Ranch has opened the season with losses to Cypress Ranch (3-44), Jersey Village (14-35), and Pearland (0-45).

Cedar Park opened the season with a loss to Vandegrift (0-17) before victories over Cedar Ridge (26-14) and San Angelo Central (41-35, OT).

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has Cinco Ranch picked to finish 5th in 19-6A.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has Cedar Park picked to win 11-5AD1. Cedar Park opened the season ranked #9 by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, but has since dropped out of the top 10.

Calpreps favors Cedar Park 28-22.

Massey Ratings favors Cedar Park 27-14.

I saw Cinco Ranch several times last year and I saw in 2017. This will be my first game in Gupton Stadium.

Saturday, 9/21, 11am at Cy-Fair ISD’s Cy-Fair FCU Stadium
Cy Woods (1-2, 0-1) vs. Langham Creek (0-3, 0-1)

Cy Woods leads the all-time series between the two schools 6 games to 5. The Wildcats won last year’s game 41-39.

Cy Woods opened the season with non-district losses to Cy Ridge and Spring. The Wildcats opened district play last week with a 31-28 win over Tomball Memorial.

Langham Creek opened the season with non-district losses to Klein Oak and Fort Bend Bush before opening district play last week with a 7-55 loss to Cy Ranch.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has Cy Woods picked to finish 4th in 14-6A.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has Langham Creek picked to finish 2nd in 14-6A.

Cal Preps favors Cy Woods by 21. Masssey Ratings favors Cy Woods by 1.


Saturday, 9/21, 6pm at Cy-Fair ISD’s Cy-Fair FCU Stadium
Cy Ranch (2-1, 1-0) vs. Bridgeland (3-0)

Cy Ranch won last year’s meeting 52-10.

Cy Ranch opened the season with a non-district win over Cinco Ranch before dropping their Week 2 game to Austin Westlake. The Mustangs opened district play last week with a 55-7 won over Langham Creek.

Bridgeland opened the season with non-district victories over Houston Waltrip and Spring Branch Stratford before recording a district win over Cy Springs last week.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has High Island picked to win 14-6A.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football has Bridgeland picked to finish 6th in 14-6A.

Calpreps favors Cy ranch by 12. Massey Ratings favors Cy Ranch by 28.
This will be my first time seeing Bridgeland play.
