Taye McWilliams had 8 carries for 270 yards and three touchdowns for Lamar Consolidated Thursday night against Lake Creek. McWilliams had touchdown runs of 70 yards, 74 yards, and 94 yards on the night to lead Lamar Consolidated to a 45-18 victory.
Daniel Blackmore also score three touchdowns on the night for the Mustangs. Blackmore scored rushing touchdowns of 7 yards and 143 yards before catching a 16-yard pass from Bryon Harris for his third touchdown of the night.
Lamar Consolidated moves to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in district play. The Mustangs travel to Bryan to take on Rudder next Friday night. Rudder is 2-1 on the season and opens district play tomorrow night against Montgomery.
Lake Creek falls to 2-2 on the season and 0-1 in district play. The Lions host Katy Paetow next Friday night. Paetow is 3-0 on the season and open district play tomorrow night against Cleveland.
