The Yoemen get a stern playoff test against Malakoff. Traion Smith and Sicory Smith need big games for Cameron Yoe to continue it consecutive state title quest. – John Hillman

Kirbyville (10-1) vs. West (10-1) Friday 7:00pm Bowers Stadium, Huntsville
The Trojans face their toughest test of the season Kirbyville. The Trojans have heart and talent, but depth could proving a telling factor. – John Hillman
Region IV
Luling (5-6) vs. Goliad (7-4) Friday 7:30pm Harlandale Stadium, San Antonio
Luling may look like the underdog on paper, but don’t tell that to the Eagles, who have done a complete 180 on their season after starting 0-4 and have won their last four games. Luling’s strength is in a running game featuring Shaft Cubit, who put up 284 yards last game. Luling will have to cut down on their interceptions and the defense will have to be ready for Goliad’s offense, led by sophomore QB DJ Taylor. Once the Tigers get going, they are capable of filling up the scoreboard. – Michael De Leon

Eastland came away with a 70-38 win last night and will face Post or Henrietta.
