The Spring Lions carried a 14-0 lead over the DeSoto Eagles Saturday at McLane Stadium in Baylor.
By the end of the 3rd quarter Samari Collier would rally the Eagles into the lead throwing three touchdown passes in the quarter.
The Eagles would extend their lead to 27-14 on Collier’s 4th touchdown pass of the game with 2:48 left in the game.
Spring would cut the lead to 27-21 on Bishop Davenport’s 21-yard pass to Vincent Bass with 2:02 left in the game.
But DeSoto would recover the onside kick attempt and was able to run out the clock and secure the win.
Collier threw for 263 yards and four touchdowns.
Davenport threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns.
DeSoto will face off against the Duncanville Panthers Saturday, 1/2, 7:30pm form Globe Life Park in Arlington.
