Katy Punches Ticket to State Championship


The Katy Tigers defeated the Hays Rebels 63-7 Saturday afternoon at McLane Stadium in Waco.

Katy jumped out to a 21-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and a 42-0 lead at halftime.

Seth Davis accounted for 4 of Katy’s touchdowns (3 rushing and 1 passing) and brother Jalen Davis rushed for 2 touchdowns.

This will be Katy’s 15th championship appearance and they will be seeking their 9th title.

The Tigers will face off against Cedar Hill on Saturday, 11/16 at 1 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
