Meet El Paso’s Next up Jonathan Fajardo


Jonathan Fajardo is the next big superstar in the making. Fajardo is only ten years old, but he is already making numerous headlines across the state of Texas. Fajardo is a quarterback from El Paso, Texas who was born to play football. Raised by a great family in the football crazed state of Texas Fajardo is beginning to take on his own persona. He’s met and worked with numerous professional athletes and has graded out elite scores at some of the most prestigious football camps in the United States of America. Who is this kid? The next Tony Romo the next Steven Montez the next Dak Prescott? Let us find out.

Fajardo’s parents put him into football in 2017 when he was just 7 years old. Fajardo is the starting quarterback for the El Paso Broncos and was the all-around MVP for the ‘Fall 2019 season. He also plays 7v7 football for the Broncos and flag football for the Horizon City Falcons. He is trained by his dad, EP Broncos coaches, quarterback coach Chuck Veliz and Jimmy McClain/BTB.

Jonathan has also been racking up awards for his stellar play at camps across the country. He was the 9U AYF Nationals Florida December 2020, Division 2, 2nd placed quarterback of the entire national championships tournament. This is a huge achievement for a quarterback of this age. He is also the number one ranked pro style quarterback in the class of 2029 as ranked by quarterback hitlist. The accolades that young Fajardo has achieved also includes 2x All Star of the Texas All Star Showcase sponsored by “Battle” in 2019 and 2020. He also was ranked on the 9U RNR top 100 rankings list in the class of 2029 as one of the top players in the nation.

It should also be mentioned that Fajardo is a tremendous student athlete and is consistently an honor roll student. Jonathan is in 4th grade, attends Clint ISD and has a unique passion and drive to play football. This unusual drive for an athlete of his age should give Fajardo an upper hand on the competition for years to come. It also helps that Fajardo has a supporting family that enjoys seeing his work pay off and pushes him to be the best he can be. He has also achieved the Soaring Eagle award in academics, is a GT nominee, and a UIL participant favor.

So, what is the future for Jonathan Fajardo? Right now, his favorite players are Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott and Texas Longhorn quarterback Sam Ehlinger. His favorite colleges are UTEP, the University of Texas at Austin, NMSU, and Texas A&M. He is a student of the game and has unlimited potential for the future.
