13-6A

In the first week of district play Conroe edged Oak Ridge, College Park beat Grand Oaks by 14, and The Woodlands downed Willis by 33.

I still think The Woodlands, College Park, Willis and Grand Oaks are the four playoff teams.

This Thursday’s game between Conroe and Grand Oaks should a long way to clearing up the 4th spot. Also on tap this week College Park hosts Willis and The Woodlands face Oak Ridge.

14-6A

Last week in the third week of district play, Westfield beat Nimitz 54-6, Spring beat Eisenhower 48-0, DeKaney beat MacArthur 34-14 and Davis beat Aldine 53-0.

I still have Westfield and Spring as the obvious 1 and 2 in the district. Of the remaining teams, I think only Aldine doesn’t have at least an outside shot at the playoffs. I would but DeKaney, Davis and Eisenhower in front of MacArthur and Nimitz. But, this is always a chaotic district so don’t let your guard downs.

This week Westfield takes on MacArthur, Spring face Davis, DeKaney faces Aldine, and Eisenhower faces Nimitz.

15-6A

Last week in the third week of district play, Klein Cain beat Klein Forest 63-24, Klein Collins beat Tomball 31-8, Klein beat Tomball Memorial 35-28 and Klein Oak was open.

With Klein Collins win over Tomball, the district title should come down to this Friday’s game between Klein Cain and Klein Collins with the winner being the heavy favorite for the district title and the loser the favorite for 2nd. I still have Tomball as 3rd in the district but Klein Oak and Klein aren’t far behind.

This week Klein Collins and Klein Collins face off in the game that should determine the district title. Tomball faces off against Klein Oak in a game that will go a long way to settling third place. Klein takes on Klein Forest. Tomball Memorial is idle.

Simply put I am a fan of Texas high school football. I attend as many high school football games as I can - 82 games in 2017, 86 games in 2018, 76 games in 2019. I also have some limited computer skills and I use those to provide information to the #txhsfb community. I am always looking for new ways to provide information to the #txhsfb community. If you have ideas and suggestions, tag or DM me on Twitter.
