The officer states that a cover cop prompted a probable cause check of Evans’ car once they arrived. “Inside the center console area, in the cup holder, I located a small black ashtray with burnt marijuana residue, marijuana cigarettes (roaches), and rolling papers,” explained the cop.

“When I opened the Ram’s center console, I saw a vacuum-sealable bag inside that’s usually used to carry drugs, including marijuana. There were three different marijuana baggies inside.”

There was 2.2 ounces of marijuana in the car overall, according to reports. After being taken to the Frisco Police Department Jail, Alan was successfully booked there.

The Dallas Cowboys website states that Matt Waletzko has been activated from injured reserve to fill Evans’ place on the 53-man roster and that Evans has been dismissed.

According to the team, Evans is subject to waivers and might be claimed by any of the other 31 teams. If cleared, he could also be signed back to Dallas’ practice squad.
