A woman who admitted to killing a man earlier this week has been taken into custody by police. It occurred on December 4 shortly after 10:00 a.m. An unconscious guy was found laying in the front yard of a home in the 1000 block of Vinson Lane in Red Oak, according to Ellis County Sheriff’s officials.
Jess Deon Dotson, 54, was the man who was found deceased at the scene. Large patches of collected blood, according to deputies, seemed to be bullet wounds.
Investigators found Coppell after identifying a person of interest through witness interviews. Yaralitza Dee Shaw, a 33-year-old acquaintance of Dotson, was identified as that individual.
During Shaw’s police interview, she admitted to killing Dotson. She faces murder charges after being taken into custody. A $500k bond has been posted for her.
