Following a gunshot at an Arlington recording studio on Saturday night, three individuals are in the hospital. Officers from Arlington Police were summoned to a shopping centre in the 800 block of E. Lamar Blvd. shortly before 10:30 p.m., where a man suffering from a gunshot wound was pleading with store personnel for assistance.

What Happened?

The 29-year-old victim informed police that following the gunshot at the 2100 clock on N. Collins Street, he strolled to the shopping centre.

He claimed that when two masked individuals entered and started firing, he was working on music at a recording studio on N. Collins Street. The victim informed the authorities that he may have struck the two suspects and that he was armed as well.

With non-life-threatening wounds, the man was attended to on the spot before paramedics came and took him to the hospital. Other police officers proceeded to the N. Collins Street area in the meanwhile.

While travelling, they came across a stolen car that was being driven away from the same address on N. Collins Street. Officers tried to pull over the car because they thought it might be related to the incident, but the driver refused to stop.

The driver was stopped by the police after a brief pursuit in the 1500 block of NE Green Oaks Blvd. Inside the car, officers discovered Kinton Jones, 30, the driver, and George Duncan, 52, the passenger. They’d both been shot.

In addition, Jones and Duncon were brought to a hospital. The study states that Jones’ injuries don’t seem to be life-threatening. ICU is where Duncan is right now.

According to the APD, Jones will face charges for fleeing, using a vehicle without authorization, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and unlawful handgun possession by a felon after he is released from the hospital.

Duncan is going to face charges for aggravated assault using a lethal weapon. APD stated that they think high-risk drug activity may be involved based on evidence gathered at the N. Collins Street location.
