Two drug traffickers were put behind bars by the Akron police department after an investigation into the drug overdose death of an Arkon man. The two traffickers were charged with a host of drug- and weapons-related charges.

Akron Police Department Charged 2 Men With Host Of Drug And Weapons-Related Charges

SOURCE– The death of an Akron man from a drug overdose led to the arrest of two men suspected of being drug traffickers by the Akron Police Department. The investigation started with the 48-year-old Akron man, Nathan Strickland’s, sudden death on June 17. According to the Akron Police Department, the cause of Nathan Strickland’s death was a drug overdose.

The ongoing investigation into the sudden death of Nathan Stickland led the Anti-Violence Bureau Detectives to unfold information, which led to the search and arrest of Antonio Goodwin, 34 years old, according to the Akron Police Department. The Akron Police Department said that the detectives executed the search warrants in the 800 block of Nome Avenue at around 8:40 a.m. on November 2.

According to the Akron Police Department, the other suspect is 34-year-old Charles Workman, who drove away from the scene when the detectives were moving in. He was later apprehended when he crashed the car.

The two arrested drug traffickers are in Summit County jail, says the Akron Police Department

In the news article by Cleveland 19, the Akron Police Department said that the detectives found ecstasy pills, cocaine, and marijuana in the worker’s possession. Investigators also found 390 grams of methamphetamine and handguns during their search of the home in the 800 block of Nome Avenue.

Both Antonio Goodwin and Charles Workman were charged with a host of drug- and weapons-related charges. From the reports of Akron Police Department, the two drug traffickers are now detained in Summit County Jail.
