On Friday night at Allen Park, there appeared to be a murder-suicide that left three persons dead, according to authorities. Police were called to a shooting incident on September 1 at around 6:35 p.m. in Spirit Park’s parking lot off Ridgeview Drive.

Officers responded and discovered three individuals inside a car with “apparent gunshot wounds.” At the scene, each person’s death was verified. However, a source told CBS News Texas that a mother killed her two children, then herself. The victims’ identities are not being published at this time, according to the police.
Spirit Park and its surrounding trails have been closed in the interim. This murder-suicide in the City of Allen, which left a family of four dead, happened just a week prior to the incident.
Later, it was revealed that they were Farman and Layla Sherwani and their two boys, Mateen, 2, and Shaheen, 12, respectively. The couple also had a 4-year-old child named Lyian, who drowned a few weeks earlier, according to the department.
