A accident occurred in Arlington on Thursday night during a pursuit involving a criminal suspect. Police were called to a shooting in the 1900 block of Chalice Road at approximately 6:10 p.m.

What Happened?

A number of onlookers reported to the police that they witnessed some teenagers fighting. They claimed that before the gang dispersed, one of the teenagers may have shot a gun.

One of the teenagers engaged in the fight was found by the police. He said that a shot was fired and that one of the other participants was carrying a firearm. Nobody was hit or hurt very badly.

The suspect’s car was seen driving along Pioneer Parkway at about 9:30 p.m. When the driver, 32-year-old Roberto Rodriguez, tried to stop the car, the police pursued after him.

According to the police, Rodriguez tried to flee the area after getting out of the automobile. His injuries were minimal, therefore he was soon transferred to a hospital after being captured. He will be prosecuted with eluding arrest, causing significant physical injury, and abandoning or endangering a child after the doctors have cleared him.

Rodriguez’s automobile also had two teenagers and a 25-year-old. All of them were brought to a nearby hospital. Authorities think that Rodriguez’s automobile had a teen who was engaged in the shooting. The teenager will face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after being released from the hospital.

Two additional individuals from the other two cars were also sent to a nearby hospital. Their wounds do not pose a threat to their lives. Rodriguez’s automobile included a pistol, according to the police.
