Attorney General Ken Paxton Raises $1.7 Million in Donation

According to KSAT,  Paxton’s campaign recently announced that he raised an impressive $1.7 million within a brief 12-day period.

This noteworthy fundraising effort came shortly after his impeachment in May, defying the odds and showcasing the unwavering support he commands from his donors.

The announcement of Ken Paxton’s $1.7 million campaign funds raised in just 12 days marks a remarkable achievement, given the backdrop of his recent impeachment.

A staggering total of 2,343 donors contributed to this success, culminating in what Ken Paxton’s team describes as a “personal post-session fundraising record.”

To put this into perspective, during a comparable period in 2015 following a statewide election, Ken Paxton managed to raise less than $400,000.

Similarly, in 2019, he garnered $1.4 million during the equivalent timeframe. These figures emphasize the notable growth in financial backing he has experienced despite the ongoing controversy.

Ken Paxton’s Determination

Ken Paxton’s tenure as Attorney General is slated to end in January 2027. In light of his recent challenges, Paxton remains undeterred, expressing unwavering determination to overcome the present obstacles.

In a statement, he asserted, “Not only will we survive the latest attack but we will come out of this stronger than ever.” This resolve has garnered praise from his supporters and has further motivated them to contribute to his campaign.

In late May, the Texas House of Representatives impeached the Attorney General, citing alleged lawbreaking and misconduct spanning several years. State officials in Texas confront a unique fundraising challenge due to a moratorium that prohibits them from soliciting campaign donations around the regular legislative session.

According to Advance New Journal, the ban was lifted on June 19 of this year, creating a narrow window of opportunity for officials to replenish their campaign funds before the reporting period ends on June 30.

This time crunch intensifies the competition for funds and demands strategic and timely appeals to potential donors.

While Paxton’s recent fundraising success is undoubtedly a notable achievement, further details on his donors and their contributions will be disclosed when his full campaign finance report is made publicly available.
