One person was murdered and another suffered severe injuries in a shooting outside a sizable shopping mall in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, according to authorities.
The Gunman Also Passed Away From His Gunshot Wound
According to Austin Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson, the shooting in The Arboretum on the city’s north side began at 5 p.m., and by 5:09 p.m., responding officers had discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. With what the authorities described as critical injuries, one of the victims was brought to the hospital.
Two victims had been confirmed dead at the shooting scene around 5:20 p.m. One of them, according to Henderson, was the shooter.

Henderson stated that it was currently unknown how the shooter and the victims were related. She declined to provide any other information on the shooting, including its precise location.
According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the two fatalities were adults. Authorities previously stated that two more persons were being treated for minor wounds.
Police urged any potential witnesses to come forward and turn in any old pictures or videos taken in the vicinity.
