James Garrett, 62-year-old was arrested by deputies after the reported Buffalo Creek Road Burglary. Garett was shot on both thighs by armed homeowners and was transported immediately to hospital.

Buffalo Creek Road Burglary
In a report from Fox news, homeowners from Buffalo Creek Road came home and found a man inside a room in their house.
When the burglar was made aware that the homeowners were already home, he opened fire using his hand gun. The homeowners, who also owned hand guns were able to fire back towards the burglar. During the altercation, the suspect ended up being shot on both thighs.
The armed homeowners were able to disarm the suspect while waiting for the responding officers.

Buffalo Creek Road Burglary: Suspect Now Under Police Custody
Deputies responded to the Buffalo Creek Road Burglary at around 9:30 a.m according to reports.
Deputies were able to reach the scene at around 9:30 a.m. and found the wounded suspect on the homeowner’s house. They immediately transported Garett to a hospital in Joplin.
The suspect was later on held at McDonald County with no bail and was charged with the following: first-degree assault, armed criminal action, first-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
