According to a report from Daily Register, campaign finance reports are now available. Elected officials from Texas had declared their funds from their fundraising initiatives which started last January 1 up to June 30 this year.

Candidates for public office solicit funds to assist their campaigns and demonstrate the extent of their support. State and federal campaign finance regulations differ in terms of who can donate to a campaign, how much they can contribute, and how those contributions must be declared. Campaigns may raise donations from individuals, political party organizations, and political action committees in general.

Top Texas Officials Campaign Finance Reports
Below are the top officials from Texas and the breakdown of their campaign finance reports.
- Gov. Greg Abbott
Gov. Abbott raised a total of $15.2 million for his campaign finance.
Some of the Highest Contributors:
- William Doggett, of Houston – $500,000
- Jay Graham, of Houston – $500,000
- Edward Roski Jr. of California – $500,000
- Kenneth Fisher, of Rockwall – $1 million
- 13 other contributions – $250,000
- Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick
Patrick was reported to have raised $4.2 million from January 1 until June 30.
Some of the Highest Contributors:
- Ross Perot, of Dallas – $150,000
- Kenneth Fisher, of Rockwall – $250,000
- Defend Texas Liberty PAC – $1 million
- 10 Separate contributions – $100,000
- Attorney General Ken Paxton
Paxton had raised around $1.74 million despite being suspended from his office.
