The Michigan Supreme Court has taken decisive action against Detroit-area judge Tracy Green facing serious allegations of covering up her son’s abuse of his own children. Judge Tracy Green has been censured and suspended for a period of six months without pay, as per the Detroit News.

Detroit-Area Judge Tracy Green Concealed Grandson’s A
According to the Associated Press, the case came to light after the Judicial Tenure Commission, an organization responsible for overseeing Michigan’s judiciary, filed a misconduct complaint against Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green in 2020.
The complaint alleges that prior to her appointment as a judge, Tracy Green was aware of her son’s disturbing actions, which involved striking his two sons with a belt and slapping them.
To conceal the injuries sustained by her grandsons, it is alleged that the Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green even applied makeup.
Even more troubling, after ascending to the bench, Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green vehemently denied any knowledge of the abuse during questioning by commission staff in 2019.
Moreover, while testifying in juvenile court, Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green was accused of making false statements related to the abuse case.

Detroit-Area Judge Tracy Green Faces Six-Month Suspension Without Pay
In response to the commission’s findings, they recommended the state Supreme Court remove Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green from her position as a judge. However, the court decided against such a measure, citing that removing her from office would be an excessively severe response.
Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green has been censured and suspended for a period of six months without pay, as per the Detroit News.
Throughout the proceedings, Detroit-area Judge Tracy Green maintained her innocence, firmly asserting that her grandsons were lying about their father abusing them.
