Domino’s Pizza In Russia To Close All Its Branches

DP Eurasia, which has the franchise rights for the Domino’s Pizza brand in Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, said on Monday that its Russian division, DPRussia, will declare bankruptcy.

According to a report from WHDH, Domino’s Pizza will be one of the first large Western fast-food brands to leave Russia since McDonald’s and Starbucks. The company had mentioned that the environment amidst Russia and Ukraine war prompted the decision of Domino’s Pizza in Russia.

Domino’s Pizza In Russia Will File Bankruptcy

The firm is the third-largest pizza delivery company in Russia and runs 142 outlets there. Regarding its business in Russia, DP Eurasia stated in December that it was assessing it and that work on a prospective sale was still “ongoing”. It also stated that it is still too early to assess the impending insolvency’s financial effects as reported in KRCA.

It’s likely that Domino’s Pizza in Russia may stay open under new management and branding. In a similar act after Starbucks and McDonalds left Russia last year, local business in Russia and changed their names.
