With the declaration of the Court for race-conscious admissions policies as unconstitutional last Thursday, Republicans took action to end raced based financial aid programs.

End Raced-Based Financial Aid Programs
With the goal to end race-based financial programs, Andrew Bailey, the state’s Attorney General sent letters to different universities and colleges informing them about the Court’s Affirmative Action Ruling on race-conscious admissions policies which may lead to the need to end race-based financial aid programs.
In his letter in regards to their target to end race-based financial programs, Andrew Bailey addressed different colleges and universities in Missouri and asked the schools to review their policies which used race as a basis for admission, to end race-based financial aid programs.
In response to the Letter sent by Andrew Bailey, the University of Missouri, with at least a total of 70,000 students, claimed to acknowledge the letter and will end raced-based financial aid programs.

Republicans in Targeting Minority Scholarships: End Raced-Based Financial Aid Programs.
One representative of a university in Missouri, Christian Basi said in a report to have a number of programs and policies which uses race as a ground for admissions and even scholarships. With the Republican’s initiative to end raced based financial aid programs, these programs will be discontinued.
On their plan to end raced-based financial aid programs, Rep. Robin Vos from the Republicans said that to Eliminate racial discrimination, it will mean eliminating all of it.”
