The former warden and cook at Federal Women’s Prison in California pleaded guilty in multiple counts of sexual abuse following an Associated Press investigation last Thursday.

Federal Women’s Prison Sexual Abuse
The former cook supervisor at Federal Women’s Prison, Andrew Jones was tried at Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin where he pleaded guilty to all 6 felony charges involving sexual abuse of three women who had worked under his supervision.
The former warden, Nakie Nunley also pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual abuse and five lesser felony charges for abusive sexual contact involving five women. The two also made false statements to the government where they also have pleaded guilty.

According to the investigation by Associate Press, sexual abuse was ‘rampant’ at Federal Women’s Prison, where former employees was said to abuse other inmates.
According to Senate investigation, a widespread of sexual abuse among female detainees still happens in federal prisons and staff accountability measures have not been able to stop the scourge of such violence.
