A couple from Elk Grove, 49-year-old Jennifer Smith-Floyd and her husband 48-year-old Glennis Smith had been married for five years. However, several instances in their married life had led the couple to live separately.
A bizarre turn on their love story happened on January 12 when Glennis Smith called 911 to report that his wife was not breathing. Deputies were able to respond to the scene and later declared Jennifer dead as reported from fox news.

Glennis Smith Elk Grove Murder Case: Murder, Arson and Insurance Fraud
The investigation for the Glennis Smith Elk Grove murder case began when authorities found lethal dose of Fentanyl on Jennifer. According to a report from CBS, Glennis had poisoned Jennifer for two days with lethal doses of Fentanyl which resulted to her untimely demise.
Further investigation revealed that Glennis had attempted to burn their travel trailer at a local self-storage months after Jennifer died.
After months of investigation, deputies arrested Glennis Smith last Wednesday. During the arraignment, he was charged with murder, arson, and insurance fraud. This is an on-going investigation, further updates may be released by the Elk Grove Police Department.
