Ikea Imari Hood, A Drill Team Member And Student At Lancaster High School, Was Shot And Killed

Ikea Imari Hood, a student at Lancaster High School, was shot and killed on Sunday, according to a Lancaster ISD spokesman.

What Happened?

It took place on the 700 block of Grambling Drive at approximately 10:40 a.m. Hood, 17, passed away right there. Trevon Darnell Wright, 17, is being sought by Dallas police in relation to the shooting. Wright has a murder warrant out for his arrest.

Hood was a part of the drill team, and Lancaster ISD said it is heartbroken by his passing.

“Her passing signifies a significant loss for our district, and for the children and staff affected by this tragedy, we are offering counseling and bereavement services. We are praying for her and her entire family.
