Three Austin police officers shot and killed an unnamed person at a Sixth Street club. Two onlookers are not in danger, but the other one is badly injured.
Police in Texas are still investigating the incident that happened in the bar in Austin entertainment district.
An employee at the bar had alerted the police due to a man with a firearm according to Interim Police Chief Robin Henderson. Upon approaching the suspect, he pulled his gun and pointed it at the officers and the bar patrons added Henderson.
There was speculation that the suspect also fired his gun said Henderson. The suspect was shot many times by the three officers which caused his death.
Texas officers are still gathering information to determine who injured the three bystanders.
Releasing the body cameras of the officers on the scene is a protocol.
Following the regulations adopted by the department, the three policemen who were involved in the shooting will be assigned to administrative responsibilities.
The video from the body cameras of the officers during the incident will be released as evidence of the crime late Saturday night. It will released within 10 working days as per department protocol.
One of the onlookers was critically injured while the other two of them were not in a dangerous situation. The identity of the suspect is not yet revealed.
