Indiana Shooting over the weekend had resulted to several casualties including 17 injured and 1 dead during a ‘block party’. Authorities had described the situation as pure ‘chaos’, while the community condemned the tragic incident caused by gun violence.

Indiana Shooting Incident Early Sunday During Weekend

A ‘block party’ in central Indiana City had resulted to a nightmare after offices responded to a shooting incident when the party got out of control. As reported in WFYI there were around 500 to 1,000 attendees making the area fully packed and crowded. Some of the attendees were actually minors.

Police said that they are aware of the party since the owner was known to host such events. They were trying to contact the owner to have the area shut down when all things broke loose.

Indiana Shooting Incident, Suspect Already in Police Custody

In a report from AP several rounds of gun shots had erupted. First responders went to the location immediately and found many people injured. One victim had received fatal gunshot wound which had caused his untimely demise. He was identified as 30-year old Joseph E. Bonner III.

Officers were able to apply first aid to other victims and they were rushed to Muncie hospital for further medical assistance. At that time, officers don’t have any idea how many people fired guns since some of the attendees had kept their silence about the incident.

In a recent report an unnamed 36-year old Muncie man had been arrested and charged for felonies. Their gathered evidence will then be directed to Delaware County Prosecutor Eric Hoffman for further review.

Mayor Dan Ridenour and the rest of the community were still in shocked about the whole Indiana Shooting incident. The mayor had said that they were “shaken to the core by violence” during a press conference.
