Joel Bowman went to Margolin Hebrew Academy-Feinstone Yeshiva of the South, a Jewish School last July 31 and attempted to enter the school premise with a gun. He was later tracked down by responding police officers and was fatally shot.

Joel Bowman Charged For Entering A Jewish School With A Gun
Joel Bowman was accused of carrying a firearm on school grounds, attempted second-degree murder, and other charges. He entered a not-guilty plea after the July 31 incident as reported in AP News.
During the initial investigation and further proceedings revealed that a Tennessee Judge ordered Joel Bowman to undergo mental evaluation. Bowman’s fitness to stand trial and his mental state at the time of the accused offense will be determined by forensic experts.

Joel Bowman To Undergo Mental Evaluation
According to a police report mentioned in ABC, 33-year old Joel Bowman allegedly fired two rounds of gun shot outside the school before leaving with his pickup vehicle. Joel Bowman, who had previously attended the school was also reported to shot 2 contractors. Luckily, they were unharmed.
When the incident was reported to the authorities, responding officers went in to track down Joel Bowman. According to authorities, Joel Bowman got out of his truck while holding a revolver in his right hand and aimed it at an officer, who then shot Bowman. Bowman was admitted to the hospital in a critical state.
