Phoenix Police responded to a hit-and-run incident near 20th and Jackson streets on Monday night. Phoenix Police reported no officers were hurt after the shoot-out.

Phoenix Police Respond To Hit-and-Run Incident
Based on a report, a hit-and-run incident was reported to the Phoenix police last Monday night. When officers responded to the call, they had found the Suspect’s abandoned vehicle with empty shell casings. After the search on the vehicle, the suspect was still nowhere to be found.
Phoenix Police asked by-standers and witnesses about the suspects whereabouts, the witnesses told police the suspect went near20th street. The suspect was later identified as Armando Reyes, 35 years of age.

Phoenix Police Shootout
When Phoenix police found the suspect near 20th street, they had found the suspect ‘acting erratically’ and was not listening to the commands from the responding police officers.
Phoenix Police reported using ‘less lethal’ tool to get the situation under control, but the suspect was not cooperating. Phoenix police had tried negotiating with the suspects, but still to no avail.
During the negotiations, the suspect was reported to pull out a gun, he pointed it towards the Phoenix Police. The Police then fired their shots towards the suspect. Reyes died on the spot after the shootout.
