Stolen Stuff Get Discovered

Hundreds of stolen cars and thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen stuff have been found in a Fort Worth residence, according to investigators who also tell CBS News Texas that the items are linked to victims across North Texas and even outside the state.

“I was inconsolable. Ruth Ann, the executive director of a nearby non-profit, adds, “I was furious. Ruth reports that she hasn’t seen the mechanical bull and the two bouncy houses her nonprofit utilized for events with underprivileged families and children in a year. She claims that the goods and a $12,000 trailer were taken in May of last year.

The bull and bounce houses were discovered at a property on NW 28th St. in Fort Worth, along with hundreds of other pilfered goods, according to FWPD investigators. A few weeks ago, the home was linked to an earlier auto and copper theft investigation, leading the police to obtain a search order for the residence.

Fifteen vehicles in all, including automobiles, trucks, motorbikes, and ATVs, were discovered, according to the police. Two cargo trailers loaded with pilfered tools and construction equipment, brand-new pilfered rims and tires, one car transporter, and a mechanical bull were among the other pilfered things.

Although they haven’t made any arrests, police say they think there may be two or more suspects involved. “Sometimes you can’t put someone in jail, but if we can recover a victim’s stolen property, that’s the goal — that’s the real win to see someone get their property back,” said Sergeant White.
