A 45-year-old South Huntington father was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to the rape of his 21-year-old biological daughter in February 2022.

South Huntington Father Pleads Guilty to Raping His Own Daughter
According to the Patch, the South Huntington father encouraged her to spend the night at his home, where he offered her an Advil PM to help her rest. However, this gesture of concern turned into a nightmare as the woman later woke up to find her father assaulting her.
The woman managed to escape from her South Huntington father’s residence and sought refuge at a nearby family member’s home.
In her testimony, the victim revealed that her South Huntington father had a history of abusing her during her childhood.
District Attorney Tierney commended the victim’s bravery saying that the victim bravely reported what her father had done so that he could be held accountable for his crime.
Authorities were promptly notified, leading to the South Huntington father’s swift arrest.

South Huntington Father Receives 10-Year Prison Sentence
On May 31, the South Huntington father pleaded guilty to first-degree rape, acknowledging the gravity of his actions.
As a result of his guilty plea, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, which will be followed by 20 years of post-release supervision.
The sentencing of the South Huntington father was announced by Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney on Friday.
According to a published article in News 12 Long Island, to protect the young woman’s identity, the name of her South Huntington father has not been released.
The South Huntington father’s defense attorney, Michael Elbert, represented him during the proceedings. Despite efforts to defend his client, the evidence and the victim’s powerful testimony left little room for doubt, ultimately leading to the plea agreement and subsequent sentencing.
