n Hartwig, the crash on Wednesday claimed the life of Steven Walker, 57, of Keller, Texas. Hartwig had originally stated that the crash happened on Thursday on Facebook.

Walker was by himself in the plane, according to Hartwig.About 80 miles north of Milwaukee, in Kossuth Township, the plane was discovered submerged in a pond, according to Hartwig.

According to the sheriff, the Chicago Center Air Traffic Control Center had called the Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center to report that the plane had not reached its destination.

The National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the sheriff’s office are all looking into the disaster.
