This Family’s Story Of Their Daughter Escaping Sex Trafficking Is One Of The Gratitude

Everyone agrees, standing around the kitchen table, that the parents from North Texas are frightening, holding a large clear zip-lock bag.

What Happened?

They had been requested to assemble it by the investigators in case it became necessary to match their daughter’s remains to the personal items’ DNA.

That’s what the Morrises discussed in March 2023 with the I-Team. Their explanation included the final few months of their life. Nine months later, in December, it’s evident how “far from over” their story is. In the same living room, the I-Team and the Morrises took a seat again, but this time, they had something more in common.

The mother of the teenage girl reached for her phone and said, “I’m going to show you a couple of hard pictures.”

Their family garnered worldwide attention in April 2022. Kyle Morris attended a Mavericks game with their then-15-year-old. She got up from her seat and was gone. She and two other males were captured on camera when she was last seen.

Recovered In Oklahoma

A private investigator located her in a hotel room in Oklahoma nine days later. He discovered her image in a commercial that the parents sent to us. “This is in the police car when she was recovered in Oklahoma.”

Sex Trafficking

Staring straight at the camera, the young girl is seated in the rear seat of the police vehicle. She’s dressed in shorts and a green, t-shirt with short sleeves. On the seat next her are her shoes. She looks incredibly young, confused, and nearly unrecognizable without makeup.

Morris claims that her daughter’s eyes are filled with melancholy and sorrow. “She was in tears. Just before the photo was taken, Kyle Morris describes his daughter’s actions as “praying to God that He would find her and save her.”

The Morrises claim that in order to assist other young girls who have fallen victim to sex trafficking, they are launching a non-profit. Their daughter, they claim, wants to talk to other teenagers who are going through similar things. She thinks she can relate to children more than any adult who has never seen directly the negative aspects of this rising criminality.
