Von Miller Is Out On Bond Following A Rumored Altercation With His Expectant Partner That Turns Violent

It is unclear if the two-time first-team All-American will be available to play this weekend. He is accused with third-degree felony assault on a pregnant woman, a crime that carries a $10,000 fine in addition to a two to ten year jail sentence.

Von Miller, an NFL sensation and native of DeSoto, brought himself in on November 30 after his pregnant fiancée was accused of domestic abuse. The affidavit states that it occurred on November 29 at a high-rise in Dallas.

What Happened?

The pair allegedly engaged in physical “shoving and pushing” as a result of harsh words. The victim finally yelled, “Stop, I’m pregnant!”

Miller persisted, nevertheless, as stated in the affidavit. even “stepping on her feet, causing her to fall back into a chair.” The affidavit stated that he then “began applying pressure around” the victim’s neck for three to five seconds before releasing his hold.

She Filed A Complaint

Then, according to reports, the 34-year-old NFL player “…grabbed her phone and threw her laptop on the floor and stomped on it.”

Washington, who is unrelated to the case, stated that regardless of the accuser’s cooperation or lack thereof, authorities will probably attempt to prosecute her.

“We frequently witness situations similar to this one. When victims file complaints, people often want to drop the charges after two or three days when things settle down. However, recently, we’ve seen that prosecutors are continuing to pursue these charges if they believe they have sufficient evidence, which includes photos, recordings, and other supporting documentation,” the source shared.
