Woman’s Courageous Escape From Oregon Man’s Home
According to CNN, the incident occurred on July 15 when Oregon man Zuberi traveled from Klamath Falls to Seattle and posed as an undercover police officer to deceive a prostitute. He brandished a Taser, handcuffed, and shackled her before forcing her into his car.
During the long journey back to his home, the victim reported that she was sexually assaulted. It was only during this drive that she discovered the plan through a map application on Oregon man Zuberi’s phone, realizing she was being kidnapped.
Upon reaching his residence, Oregon man Zuberi confined the woman to a cinder block cell in his garage, which he secured with a metal door locked from the outside.
The courageous victim managed to break free from her confinement by repeatedly banging on the door until she was able to escape through a small opening. She then sought help from a passing motorist who called 911, and she was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital.
Following a standoff in Reno, Nevada, detectives tracked down and arrested Oregon man Zuberi, who was later found to be in possession of the victim’s purse and other evidence related to the crime.
