Credit Karma a company that helps people manage their finances got in trouble with the government because they were accused of lying to their customers. The government said that Credit Karma told people they had a really good chance of getting approved for loans or credit cards but then many people got denied. This made a lot of customers upset because they thought they were going to get approved but they did not.
The government decided to make Credit Karma pay $3 million to make up for what they did. This money $3 Million direct payments will be given to the people who were affected by the lies. Over 497,000 people might get some money from the $3 Million payment settlement. It is like a little bit of compensation for the trouble they went through.

Credit Karma Agrees to $3 Million Settlement Without Admitting Wrongdoing
