Authorities said that Bryant, 23, was being held on probable cause for a capital murder allegation related to a shooting that occurred in 2023. Roush, 22, was being detained on probable cause for counts of property theft and residential burglary. Roush was apprehended on Thursday. Both have been brought back to the prison.
According to the sheriff’s office, the two were absent for 36 hours before anybody noticed. This was due to an inaccurate head count done by jail staff, according to an internal review that was conducted on Monday. Anybody who helped Bryant and Roush might face criminal penalties, according to the sheriff’s office.
