An arrest has been made in relation to the shooting death of a 21-year-old man in Garland involving a teenage girl who was the subject of an AMBER Alert on Friday morning.
What Happened?
Garland police responded to a call at 342 West Oates Rd. in Audubon Park around 10 a.m. on August 29.
According to the police, the caller reported seeing a man inside a car who looked to be unconscious. The individual, later identified as Arturo Pena, had been shot to death when police arrived.
Natalie Navarro, 17, and Yordy Martinez, 21, were both identified by Garland detectives as persons of interest in the investigation, and both were given murder warrants.

The Dallas Police Department issued an AMBER Alert while they were conducting their investigation, and Navarro was later located and taken into custody. Martinez is still at large and is being intensively pursued by law enforcement.
