Biden didn’t like this and said they were giving gifts to Putin. Biden pushed Congress to give Ukraine more money before the Christmas break, stressing how important it was to act quickly. The president talked about how bad things could get for Kyiv if funding stops, which made European friends worry about how it would affect their own freedom. Biden stressed the need to think about the long term by promising to protect all NATO land and saying he was ready to deal with Republicans. The words came after a live chat with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and leaders of the G7.
