Factors Influencing SSDI Payment Amounts
According to VIBUS, in February 2024, US citizens receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) can expect payments on February 21 and February 28 determined by birth date and benefit start date. Those who began benefits after May 1997 with birthdays from the 11th to the 20th will be paid on February 21, while those with birthdays from the 21st to the end of the month will be paid on February 28. For beneficiaries starting benefits before May 1997 payments will be on March 1. Monthly SSDI payments average around $1,537, less than retirees’ average of $1,907 though high earners with 35 years of work history and late filings may receive up to $3,822 monthly.

Early Payments for SSDI and SSI Recipients
Social Security usually sends payments early if the payment day falls on a weekend or holiday. For example on March 1, 2024 both SSDI and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients will get paid. These payments are really important for people with disabilities but the amount you get can be different for everyone depending on their situation.
