Renowned academic and Green Party candidate Cornel West is facing allegations of owing an excessive amount in unpaid taxes, as reported by The Daily Beast on Thursday. According to Daily Caller, West allegedly owes a staggering $543,778.78 in federal tax liens. Cornel West’s debt is said to have accumulated between 1998 and 2004 but was reportedly paid off in 2010. Additionally, Cornel West allegedly failed to pay a $34,069.93 tax bill in 2008, which was eventually settled in 2012, as reported.
