$377 Million US Energy Funds Withdrawal
The withdrawal for the $377 Million US Energy Funds by DeSantis was made known when Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Office of Energy informed Department of Energy that they are “respectfully” pulling back their application. DeSantis then signed a line-item veto for $5 million that will be used for energy efficiency home-rebate program that will distribute funds.
Another $24 million fund from bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was also rejected by DeSantis. The fund could have been used in upgrading rural waste-water systems.
