Former President Donald Trump said that Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s ‘Egregious Act” of pulling the fire alarm of the Capitol is an “obstruction of an official proceeding” and therefore should be charged.

Bowman’s Egregious Act Of Pulling The Capitol’s Fire Alarm Is Considered An Obstruction Of Official Proceeding, Says Donald Trump

Rep. Jamaal Bowman had “accidentally” pulled the fire alarm of the Capitol Saturday afternoon as officials were preparing to vote on a bill to avert a potential government shutdown, and forcing the people to evacuate.

According to The State News , Trump wants Rep. Bowman to be Prosecuted and imprisoned for this ‘egregious act.’ To Donald Trump, Rep. Bowman pulling the fire alarm is an egregious act to stop the ongoing congressional vote happening in Washington D.C. that day.

Trump added that Rep. Bowman’s egregious act is caught on tape, a horrible display of criminality. This comment of former President didn’t go unnoticed as more Republicans are also accusing Rep. Bowman regarding the egregious act he committed.

Aside from Trump’s “egregious act” comment about Rep. Bowman’s congressional accident, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also accused Rep. Jamaal Bowman of being an “insurrectionist,” saying that he violated the criminal code.

Yahoo News – On Saturday, Rep. Jamaal Bowman admitted that he accidentally pulled the alarm during the ongoing congressional vote. He then denied the accusations that he did it on purpose to delay the house vote. Rep. Bowman said that the “egregious act” he committed was an accident, and that he was only trying to open a locked door.

Rep. Bowman added to his statement that he sincerely apologizes for the confusion and panic he caused by pulling the fire alarm.
