Three North Texans have been charged with sex trafficking offences after a lengthy investigation.
What Happened?
Robberta Marie Khan, 27, of Euless; Jalen Alexander Bobo, 24, of Dallas; and William McKinnley Garland, 40, of Plano are accused with compulsion, enticement, and aiding and abetting. In addition, Garland and Bobo are accused of conspiring to use coercion, deception, or force to engage in sex trafficking.
The accusations follow a multi-year investigation by the police departments in North Texas. According to Dallas FBI special agent in charge Chad Yarbrough, “human trafficking is one of the most heinous crimes the FBI encounters and unfortunately, these encounters are far more common than most people realise.”
Under Arrest
It was discovered throughout the investigation that Garland reportedly hired young women as escorts. After being seduced, they claimed that Garland or his employees forcibly coerced them into engaging in commercial sex.

On December 11, Garland, who ran his business throughout Collin County, was placed under arrest by the police.
Garland and Bobo could be sentenced to life in prison if found guilty. Khan might go to jail for up to 20 years. Investigators think that other people may have interacted with or worked for this organisation.
