Former “That 70s Show” Star Ashton Kutcher Steps Down from Thorn

Former “That 70s Show” actor, Ashton Kutcher who is one of the founders of the anti-child sex abuse organization Thorn, has stepped down from his role as Chairman of the Board. CNN reported that he made this decision after facing criticism for supporting his former “That 70s Show” co-star Danny Masterson, who was recently convicted of rape and sentenced to prison. Mila Kunis, Kutcher’s wife, is also stepping down from her position as an observer on Thorn’s board.

In his resignation letter, the former “That 70s Show” actor and Thorn co-founder expressed regret for his actions, acknowledging that he made an error in judgment. He stated that he doesn’t want his mistake to overshadow Thorn’s mission of ending child sexual exploitation and human sex-trafficking. The former “That 70s Show” actor co-founded Thorn with his ex-wife Demi Moore over a decade ago, and the organization is dedicated to helping victims of sexual abuse.

Former “That 70s Show” Actors Kutcher and Kunis Apologize for Masterson Support, Vow to Back Survivors

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis had written letters of support for Masterson, but they later apologized for any pain their actions may have caused to the victims. According to the reports, both affirmed their commitment to supporting survivors of sexual violence and pledged to continue their advocacy work.

Thorn, in a statement on its website, acknowledged Kutcher’s significant contributions over the past 15 years and reaffirmed its dedication to its mission. Despite recent challenges, the organization remains steadfast in its commitment to serving children and addressing child sexual abuse.
